Health and TCM

Over the years I have battled with many problems, smaller and bigger ones and there have been surprising solutions to them.

The biggest influence in my health journey is traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM). I am just the kind of person that never gives up and keeps on looking for a working solution even if it takes me my whole life. 

TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine) is a practice "older than time"... It explains that our body has strings(meridians) connecting acupuncture points, which are considered as path ways through which energy flows throughout the body.

The meridian system is composed of 12 principal meridians, each of which connects to an organ system and extends to an extremity and eight collaterals. This further advocates for the connectedness of the whole system and how massaging one point can greatly influence a dis-ease.

If you have a spot or sore point on your body, just search for TCM and your keyword and you'll soon realise that you have to be grateful for these signs, where your body is asking for your help.

 In TCM every meridian connects to an organ which is connected to a specific feeling in the body. 

As there is a specific way for our stress and emotions to come up and be cycled in our body, the best way to understand it is in this image.

 

 

In order to start releasing blockages and stress and emotions that we haven't precessed and released, we need to become aware of our bodies shortcomings. Where are we hurting, where are we sore, what are we not seeing or feeling that requires our attention.

 

When you start looking at what hurts, we can see the underlying trouble causing factor by following the meridian lines, emotions, facial expressions.

 

To release, what we need to do is move energy around the areas that are blocked and not felt. There are many ways to do that, but what I have found to be very simple and useful for most people are simple stretches inspired by Ilchi-Lee and Brain Education TV.
