For about 10 years I battled with extreme pain and very intensive blood flows during my period. It is a personal experience that led me to this discovery.

I was sure that there must be something that works. It can't be that my body is just by default faulty. It can't be! It can't be that nature made us this way where we would die every month and be in crippling pain, because so many women suffer! So many!!

We women are special creatures, because we have a month-long hormonal cycle. During these 4 different hormonal times we are completely different. Many of us have recognised it because of PMS during Luteal phase, the euphoria during Ovulation phase, the sadness and feeling of loss during Menstrual phase and new spring feeling of Follicular phase. 

During these different times, our body also needs special support from us to reset the hormonal balance and so that your body can start functioning again in the optimal way, the natural way that it was meant to be. This following graph is a great guide to come back to your hormonal balance. You do not have to follow it completely, but you can add these foods to your diet during those times, so that it supports your current lifestyle and is very easy to accomodate.

 

Another thing that is really important to do is to get your hips and thighs moving in every direction to help with the energy and blood flow. The best thing to do is to stay very warm during period, eat warming foods, wear warm socks and give your body the maximum rest it can get. When in bed or laying down, feel free to stretch your hip joints in every possible direction.

Remember, during period time we are extremely sensitive, so and stretch and pain will feel more intense than it otherwise would. It's good to just be aware of that. You can thank the pain for coming up, feel free to release the pain by making noise, faces and crying. Here do not hold yourself back.
